Pain isn't really used that much anymore. Not because they care it just isn't as effective as the mind games they play now. Back in 2001-04 they tried hoisting people up by their wrist handcuffed behind their back, but one high value target had a heart attack almost instantly so i think it was stopped since it was unreliable (e.g. Could result in sudden death). Oh LSD is used a lot too. It isn't the mythological truth serum but it's close especially when you combine it with extreme sensory deprivation and 48+ sleep deprivation.
