In my opinion, the comment "The best of us is between chilhood and adult" would mean that we are the best when we keep some characteristics of our childhood being adult. Like imagination, curiosity... Not pedo-related...
Really?! You are just gonna say that vindicates them from being scrutinized? That statement is vague enough to possibly be describing pedophilia directly... How can you dismiss so easily?
