Its because people claiming ideas and theories as fact discredits the whole research. That this is getting less is easily explained with the fact that most realists have left this sub days ago and now we are left with most crazy conspiratists next to some actual researchers who do a good job.

There is a public mod log to review the mod actions. I did not notice anything out the of the ordinary in the actions from the last several hours. I have not reviewed any further than that.
