Does Alefantis have some kind of disease? Why does he look so diseased?

And to see him dipping his bare hands in that bucket of goo, and the fake laughter, and the way he says "ping PONG" with that eerie grin.

Didn't the guy who filmed them at night also claim that they were tampering with the food/spitting in it? I recall seeing a link to it.
