Comet Pizza Sign Origin

The sign outside of comet ping pong pizza used to hang outside of a shop called Comet Liquor that was owned by a Jewish immigrant who fought in WW2. After he died and their shop closed, Alefantis purchased the sign. The article about this is below. Not sure if this helps to prove anything or debunk anything, but thought it was interesting.
