Proposal to change the name to The PodestaFiles

Over in conspiracy the name PizzaGate is not very popular. One poster even remarked that the name will go down in History because of this investigation. So, for posterity, let's give our grandkids something with a little more allure.

I propose:

r ThePodestaFiles

Dr Seuss reference but also reference to the Fema message accidentally(?) Broadcast the night before a train derailed.

I'm partial to the PedostaFiles.

I agreed with that sentiment at first, but now I'm thinking pizzagate will make it more accessible as there are people who would cognitively disregard some of the other names I saw suggested like satangate or pedogate

Also I don't think Podesta needs to be referenced because this shit goes back way further and way deeper than him personally

I agree with PodestaFiles. It's subtle and blatant at the same time.

In order to get the widest exposure it seems like a bad idea to center the association of this ring on one person, or one source of information. Not that it's not clever.

Agreed. I still favor "The Pedo-Files"

Pizzagate is cheesy (no pun intended) and makes no mention of the pedo stuff to the causal onlooker. Also it's ruining actual pizza for me.

The_Podestaphile [looks more like The Pedofile]

It picks up a literal meaning in the process, though.

I don't really like 'pizzagate' either, no offense to anyone. I would prefer a more serious sounding name, I don't have any good ideas at the moment

nonononon if you want autists - r/pizzagate - it makes it something a lot more personal that affects their daily lives. your community bumped 50% in a day and you want to change the name?? tf?

Also it's awesome to hear reporters say "Pizza Gate"

Regardless if you accept my proposal, PizzaGate is a little bit cliche'.

And with the similarities of the name Podesta and the word pedophile; you may be missing an opportunity for wit.

Cliche? Please explain how a pedo-ring at a pizza place (i.e. pizza-) which surfaced from a leak (i.e. -gate) is "cliche: (noun) a phrase or opinion that is overused and betrays a lack of original thought."

Cliche means old and unoriginal. Water gate, email gate, deflate gate, why is it always Gate? That's cliche'

I like PodestaFiles. It's accurate, clean, and easy for others to spell. Podestaphiles is clever, but I freaking hate directing people to websites with weird spellings that I have to explain.
